Thanks PPK. At times people wish to stifle outfits to strict rules like dandies and flops in 17th Royal Courts did.
There is a fantastic YouTuber female that makes Victorian era clothes she wears did a review on shows with best costume designs and rated Game of Thrones as the best as the clothes came from the environment the characters inhabited.
Also she mentioned the characteristic for styles to become “frozen” in formal settings such as royal courts, weddings, balls, etc. So people dress to older styles. Nothing wrong with that but if taken to extreme life becomes one where dress etiquette stops the evolution of style to the point you wind up looking, speaking and acting like the Dandy in Black Adder.
And todays outfit and fifty year mechanical watch of mid range quality kept to within three seconds gain for over 24 hours. Chrono standards from a time a watch was more measured how it did its job.

It strikes me how coherent your outfits always are. I really like your style.

Very nice and versatile outfits! I like your selection of jackets. From where did you get that last one? It's design is similar to the 40s-60s vintage jackets that were shorter to be worn with higher waisted trousers.

My casual ensemble for today. Primarly Polo Ralph Lauren (chambray button down, sweater vest, and khakis). Also wearing my new Eastland dirty bucks and very old socks that I don't want to part with.

The weather in NYC is summer-like, with temperatures at 78F/26 C and rather humid. I've opted for a casual look, as dinner is a long hike this evening.
Shirt & trousers (both linen) - Brooks Brothers
Shoes - Paul Stuart house brand

The socks are a Welsh brand called Corgi, and were a present from a friend based in the UK. I believe that there are outlets which carry them here in the US, as another pair from my friend had the imprint of Maus & Hoffman, a Midwestern haberdasher.
